Carter Grimes

Equally at home with a six string in his hands or a horn on his face, Carter Grimes brings a powerful voice to the table. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Carter began playing music at the age of 10. When he was 19 he started writing music and he picked up a guitar soon after that. Throughout his career, Carter has performed with a diverse assortment of groups - everything from a symphony orchestra to a Latin combo to a rock band.

As a writer, Carter strives to write honestly about his own life, thoughts, feelings, and experiences. His wide array of musical experiences give him a great breadth of styles upon which to base his musings, and it is not uncommon to see two clashing genres become harmonious through his pen.

Most recently, he played with The Mystery Team, Columbus’s only mystery rock sextet.
